We're here to help you connect your wireless devices — like game systems, smart TVs, and printers — to your home WiFi network.

Get ready to connect

Connect your game system

Once you’ve found your WiFi name and password using the Xfinity app, you’re ready to connect your game system.

Follow the steps in your game system's user guide or visit the company's support website for help. You'll also find information on security settings and how to fix connection issues.

Connect your smart TV

Follow these steps to get your smart TV online:

  1. Open your TV's network settings (usually found in the Settings menu).
  2. Choose WiFi or Wireless. Your TV will search for nearby networks.
  3. Pick your WiFi network name from the list. (Your TV might call it "SSID.")
    • If you don't see it, try searching again or type it in manually.
  4. Enter your WiFi password using your remote or on-screen keyboard. (Your TV might call it a "Network Key.")

Note: Every TV is a little different. If you need help, check your TV's user manual.

Tips for a better connection:

  • WiFi works well for most streaming, like music or regular video.
  • For 4K or high-data streaming, use an Ethernet cable to connect your TV directly to your gateway.
  • If your TV won’t connect, you might need to open or unblock ports on your gateway.
  • Always check your TV’s manual for special settings or troubleshooting steps.

Connect your wireless printer

When your printer is connected to WiFi, you can print from any computer, phone, or tablet on your home network.

Follow these steps:

  1. Go to the printer's control panel.
  2. Choose Setup. Looks like a wrench icon.
  3. Select Network.
  4. Pick your WiFi network name. (Your printer might call it "SSID.")

Many printers have a Wireless Setup Wizard that walks you through the steps.

  • Don’t see your network? Scroll to the bottom and type in your network name and password.
  • Still not connecting? Try printing a wireless network test report to check for issues.
