Note: You can also connect your X1 Wireless TV Box to your Xfinity Gateway with RDK-B via an Ethernet cable. If you do, these pairing steps will not be necessary.
For help with installing your Wireless TV Box see Getting Started Kit installation instructions and guides.
Pair an X1 Wireless TV Box
Turn on the TV Box. While it starts up, you'll see the Welcome screen.

While the Welcome screen is on, the TV Box connects to Cloud services, including the activation application.

In some areas, the X1 Wireless TV Box or Xumo Stream Box may automatically connect to your Xfinity in-home network. You won’t need to enter any network information.

If this option isn’t available, you'll see the WiFi setup screen (shown below). If you don’t see your home WiFi network, you can select Join another network or try connecting with WiFi Protected Setup (WPS).

Choose your home network to connect.

Enter your home network's WiFi password.

Connect using WPS
If you choose Initiate Pairing, you'll have two minutes to press the WPS key on your Xfinity Gateway to complete pairing.
Note: On the Xfinity Advanced Gateway (XB7/XB8), the WPS button on the bottom of the device. The top status light blinks when the WPS button is pressed.
