Where can I find the account information from my previous service provider?

If your previous service provider has an app, that's usually the quickest way to find your account information. If you can't access it there, use the steps below to find account numbers and PINs for major service providers and MVNOs.

What is a Port PIN?

The Port PIN (sometimes called Transfer PIN, Port-Out PIN, Temporary Port-Out PIN, Security PIN, or Number Transfer PIN) is a temporary PIN that your current service provider provides by request, to ensure no one improperly uses your phone number.

The Port PIN is usually different from an Account PIN used to access or verify your account.

In most cases, you need to ask for this PIN before canceling the line with your previous service provider.

Sometimes the Port PIN expires. Usually, between 24 hours and seven days. You may need a new Port PIN depending on how long its been since the first one was created, and when the service provider confirmed the port request.
