Use these steps to fix common issues with your Xfinity Home touchscreen, like a frozen screen, blank display, or alerts.
Most issues resolve after a quick restart. If the touchscreen still doesn't work, contact us for help.

Blank screen
- Tap the screen to make sure it's not in sleep mode.
- If your device has side buttons or a Home button, press one.
- Check that the touchscreen is plugged into a working power outlet.
- Make sure the outlet is not controlled by a light switch.
- If it is plugged in, unplug it, wait a few seconds, then plug it back in.
- If it is not plugged in, connect it to power. The screen may be off to save battery.
Frozen touchscreen
- Unplug the touchscreen.
- Remove the battery.
- Wait a few seconds.
- Plug it back in and replace the battery.

Touchscreen shows an alert
Follow the steps shown in the alert message to fix the issue. You can also learn more about alerts and how to resolve them.
Lost internet connection
If the touchscreen loses internet connection, you will see a message to help you fix it.

If you do not see a message but think there is a problem, check your internet connection.
Weather isn't working
- Make sure the touchscreen is connected to the internet.
- Wait 15 to 20 minutes. The weather updates every 15 minutes.
No sound
If you can't hear your touchscreen, adjust the volume.
