Learn how to change your default Guide view so that the Xfinity X1 On-Screen Guide only displays specific categories of content, such as HD channels, movies, sports and kids.
Changing your default guide view
- Press the xfinity button on your remote and use the right and left arrows to highlight the Settings gear icon. Then, press OK.
- On the Settings menu, use the down arrow button to highlight Preferences. Then, press OK.
- On the Preferences menu, highlight General, and press OK.
- On the General Preferences menu, use the up and down arrows to highlight Default Guide View, and press OK.
- Use the up and down arrows to select your preferred Default Guide View, and press OK.
Default Guide View options include:- All Channels
- Free To Me (View channels you're entitled to)
- HD Channels
- Favorites (channels that you've added to your Favorites list)
- Trending (popular programming)
- Movies
- Sports
- Kids
- Press the Guide button on the lower-left of your remote control's directional arrow pad to check out the view that you chose.
Notes:
- Navigating to the Guide by pressing the xfinity button on your remote and then selecting Guide from the Main Menu will always take you to the All Channels view of the Guide.
- You can explore any of the Guide views by pressing the Guide button twice. Choosing a different Guide view will keep that view for the remainder of the session or until you choose another Guide view.
For example, if your default Guide view is set to Kids, but you press the Guide button twice and then select HD Channels from the Select Your Guide View screen, the next time you press the Guide button on the remote within that session you'll see the HD Channels Guide view.
