If you have X1 or another Xfinity TV package with cloud-based DVR service, you can record TV shows and movies in "the cloud," then stream those completed recordings to your mobile devices and computers or download recordings to a mobile device while connected to any WiFi or mobile network.
Using the Xfinity Stream app or online portal, you can schedule and manage your recordings outside of the home as well.
Mobile data usage rates will apply when connected to any 3G/4G/LTE network.
Recording and playback features
- Enjoy full DVR functionality on recordings when using the Xfinity Stream app on your mobile device or Xfinity Stream portal (xfinity.com/stream) on your computer.
- Live TV, Xfinity On Demand and DVR streaming/downloading is limited to five devices simultaneously.
- The maximum number of downloads per device is 50.
- Recordings can be watched on up to four TV Boxes and up to five additional devices (mobile devices or computers) simultaneously.
- Stream or download completed DVR recordings to your mobile device or computer while connected to any WiFi or mobile network.
- Note: Pay Per View and Adult programming are only available on your TV Box for playback.
- You can download a saved recording to your mobile device and watch it anywhere, anytime — even offline.
- Note: Once a recording has been downloaded to a device, that recording is "checked out."
- Only that device can view/play back that recording.
- You'll need to "Return" the recording to your DVR library to access it on your TV and other devices.
