Xfinity Mobile has millions of WiFi hotspots, areas where you can save on data by accessing free WiFi.

How to locate Xfinity WiFi hotspots

To find Xfinity WiFi near you, visit our interactive map and enter your ZIP code. You can also download the Xfinity app, which helps you quickly find nearby hotspots.

Xfinity Mobile prioritizes connecting you to secure WiFi networks. However, when no secure networks are available, you may be able to access unsecure xfinitywifi networks.

Here’s a breakdown of the types of Xfinity networks available on your phone:

Name Details
Xfinity Mobile or XFINITY
  • This is a secure public network.
  • All data going over a secure WiFi network is encrypted, so you can safely connect.
xfinitywifi
  • This is a public, unsecure network, similar to when you connect to a coffee shop's open WiFi.
cablewifi
  • This is another type of public, unsecure network, also similar to when you connect to a coffee shop's open WiFi.
  • When this type of network is within range, follow the on-screen instructions to connect.

Start the flow of WiFi on a mobile device

You're good to automatically connect to secure Xfinity WiFi hotspots as soon as you turn on your phone. To connect to unsecure public xfinitywifi:

  1. Go to Settings > WiFi.
  2. From the list of in-range networks, select "xfinitywifi."
  3. You'll see a sign-in page when you initially connect to "xfinitywifi."
    • If you don't see a sign-in page automatically:
      • Open your browser.
      • Navigate to a website such as xfinity.com.
      • You’ll be redirected to the sign-in page.
      • Follow the on-screen prompts.

If you want to stop auto-connecting to WiFi

If you'd prefer to choose when your phone connects to WiFi, you can stop your phone from auto-connecting to Xfinity WiFi hotspots.

Connect to xfinitywifi away from home on your Windows 10 laptop or computer

  1. Click on the Windows icon in the taskbar to bring up the menu and click Settings.

  2. Click on Network & Internet in the Settings menu.

  3. Click on Wi-Fi to see the list of available networks (SSIDs).

  4. Select xfinitywifi from the list of available networks. You’ll be prompted that you’re connecting to an unsecured wireless network. Click Connect.

  5. Wait a few seconds while your computer acquires an IP address from the xfinitywifi network.

  6. The status will display as Connected, signifying you’re connected to xfinitywifi.
