Learn how to change the batteries in your Xfinity Home devices.
When some devices' batteries start to expire, a low-battery alert shows on:
- The Xfinity Home app and your touchscreen if you subscribe to Xfinity Home Security.
- The Xfinity app if you have Xfinity Home Smart Home.
Change the battery within two weeks of getting the alert.
If you get a low battery alert within 30 days of device being installed, contact us.
Batteries can be bought online at Battery Junction or at local retail stores.
Contact us if you need help to troubleshoot your battery issue. If we find there is a problem with the battery, we may send you a replacement battery free of charge.

What you'll need:
- Xfinity Home Security or Smart Home.
- Access to your Xfinity Home devices.
- Access to the Xfinity Home app or touchscreen if you have Xfinity Home Security.
- Access to the Xfinity app if you have Xfinity Smart Home.
- Small flathead screwdriver.
- Small Phillips-head screwdriver.
- New batteries.
- Two-sided tape (for some wireless keypads and sensors).
