Having issues with your August, Yale, or Kwikset smart lock to the Xfinity app? We’re here to help.
Xfinity supports select smart locks from approved manufacturers. Once connected, you can lock and unlock your door using the Xfinity app.
For lock installation, user codes, battery replacement, firmware updates, or hardware issues, contact the lock manufacturer.
Before you start
Make sure:
- Your smart lock is compatible with Xfinity.
- The lock is installed and working.
- The lock is connected to the manufacturer's app, if needed.
- Your Xfinity Gateway is online.
- You have the latest version of the Xfinity app.
Connect your lock to Xfinity
- Open the Xfinity app.
- Select Home.
- Select Add smart devices.
- Select the smart lock you want to add.
- Follow the on-screen steps.
Once setup is complete, you can lock and unlock your door from the Xfinity app.
If the lock doesn't pair
Try these steps:
- Confirm your lock is a compatible model.
- Make sure the lock has working batteries.
- Verify the lock is within range of the Xfinity Gateway.
- Follow the manufacturer's steps to reset the lock or place it in pairing mode.
- Try connecting the lock again.
If the lock still won't connect, contact the manufacturer for help.
Can't lock or unlock the door in the Xfinity app
- Make sure your Xfinity Gateway is online.
- Test the lock using the lock keypad or manufacturer app.
- Close and reopen the Xfinity app.
- Wait a few minutes and try again.
If the lock does not work outside of the Xfinity app, contact the manufacturer.
