Send an emergency alarm from the touchscreen — Xfinity Home

Learn how to use the Emergency feature on your Xfinity Home touchscreen to send an alarm to get help fast in an emergency.

Sending an emergency alarm

  1. What does your Home screen look like?
    • If your Home screen looks similar to the one below, swipe up to open the Dashboard, then tap the Emergency icon at the lower-left side of the screen.

    • If your Home screen looks like the one below, press the red Emergency button.

    • If your Home screen looks like the one below, go to Using the Emergency Button.

  2. Press and hold Emergency for two seconds to send a panic alert to the police.

    The alarm will sound, and the Central Monitoring Station will call your Call to Verify numbers and the police.

    Did You Know? You can manage your Call to Verify numbers through the Xfinity Home app.

  3. Once you sound the alarm, the Disarm keypad displays. To cancel the alarm, enter your authorized four-digit keypad code.

  4. Once the alarm is disarmed, the alarm details will display. Tap the Dashboard icon at the upper left to return to the Dashboard screen.

Using the Emergency button on older touchscreens

  1. Press the red Emergency button at the bottom of the touchscreen.
    On the Touchscreen the Emergency button is the right-most button in a row of four buttons.
  2. On the Emergency screen, tap the panic button for the type of help you need, and hold it for two seconds. Your alarm will sound, and an alert will be sent to the Central Monitoring Station.

  3. Once you sound the alarm, the Disable Your System keypad displays. To cancel the alarm, enter your four-digit Master Keypad Code.
