View device information on your Xfinity Home touchscreen

Learn how use your Xfinity Home touchscreen to view information about your Xfinity Home devices, such as battery status, connection status, manufacturer, and model number.

What you'll need

  • Xfinity Home
  • Access to your touchscreen

What does your touchscreen look like?

If your Home screen looks like the one below, go to the next section (View device information on your touchscreen).

If not, go to the section called View device information on your touchscreen (icons).

  1. On the Home screen, tap the Dashboard icon (the four squares at the upper left).

  2. The Dashboard screen lists your devices. See the instructions below for the type of device you want to view.

Cameras

No device information is currently available for cameras.

Lights

  1. In the devices list on the Dashboard screen, tap the Lights icon.
  2. On the Lights screen, tap the Settings icon (gear at the upper right) for the light whose information you want to view.

Thermostats

Sensors and detectors

Sensors and detectors include door and window sensors, motion sensors, and smoke detectors.

  1. In the devices list on the Dashboard screen, tap the icon for the type of sensor or detector you want to view.
    • We'll show you how this works with a door and window sensor.
  2. On the Sensor screen, tap the sensor whose information you want to view.

  3. The Device Settings screen shows the sensor's current status and other information about the sensor.
    • To bypass the sensor, tap Bypass. If you bypass a sensor, it won't trigger an alarm when the system is armed.

  4. Scroll down to see the sensor's configuration. See security zone configurations for more information.
