Notification Center on Xfinity X1

The Notification Center on Xfinity X1 shows your new notifications as well as a history of recent notifications on your X1 TV Box.

Notifications keep you up-to-date on everything you need to know about your Xfinity products. They can include tips on X1 features, upcoming appointment reminders, Xfinity Home alerts and more.

Overview

If you have new, unread notifications, a blue dot appears above the notification icon on the left side of the X1 main menu.

You can see your new notifications, marked by a blue dot, from the Settings menu. Screenshot.

View notifications

See your notification history by using the left arrow button on your remote while watching full-screen video. You can also say "Notifications" into your Xfinity Voice Remote.

Notifications show on-screen and are stored in the history by default. To avoid interruptions, choose to have your notifications sent directly to history within your Notification Settings, which can be found at the bottom of your list of notifications.

Notifications remain in your history for a maximum of seven days, but you can delete them sooner if you want.

Note: Some notifications will be targeted to the entire account, in which case they'll be available on all of your TV Boxes. If the notification is read on one TV Box, it will be marked as read on all of your TV Boxes. Other notifications, such as remote battery replacement reminders, will only be targeted to a single device. These notifications only appear on the device in question.

Turn notifications on or off

You can turn Notifications on/off by pressing xfinity on your remote, then going to Settings (gear icon) > Preferences > Notifications.

Once in your Notification Settings, select All Notifications by pressing OK on your remote. You can choose to turn the notifications On or Off. You can also select to turn notifications on/off by category (i.e., Xfinity Voice, Xfinity Home, X1 tips, etc).
