Set on-screen notifications on X1

Learn how to set notifications for Xfinity X1 features like DVR Auto Extend, the Sports app, Xfinity Voice, Caller ID and more on the On-Screen Guide.

Note: Text messaging may still appear as an option in the Notifications menu but is no longer offered. Also, notifications from third-party services like Facebook now show a footer that reads, "Sent by Xfinity."

Access notifications settings

To access Notifications:

  1. Using the remote, press the xfinity button.
  2. Highlight Settings (the gear icon) and press OK.

    The Main Menu is displayed, with the Settings at the lower right.

  3. Highlight Preferences and press OK.

  5. Highlight the notification you want to change, then press OK on the remote to turn the notification on or off.
    Notifications menu lists available notifications and indicates if each option is turned on or off.
  6. Click Exit to finish.
