You can record a currently airing program for later playback by pressing the Record button on your remote control. Here's how to do it using the Xfinity X1 guide.
Note: Your X1 DVR TV Box can only record a show from the point that the Record button was pushed on the remote. For example, if you have been watching an hour-long show for 27 minutes and then press the Record button, you will only be able to record the remaining 33 minutes of the show.

Record a currently airing program
While viewing a program:
- Press the Record button on the remote control.
- Highlight Just this episode and press OK.
- The recording will begin immediately, starting at the time the Record button is pressed.
