Get a permit for your Xfinity Home system

The town or city where you live may require you to get an alarm registration or permit to use your Xfinity Home or Urgent Response. You should check with your local officials to find out the requirements that apply to your system and to ask any questions you have about permits or registrations. You may be fined — or emergency responders may be delayed or not dispatched — if you don't have the right permit or registration on file with Xfinity.

Once you have completed your registration and have your permit or registration number, you must give it to Xfinity.

Unless otherwise advised, it's your responsibility to get or renew permits or registrations as required by local law. You should contact your local officials with questions.

In areas where Xfinity orders or renews permits for you, a permit fee will be charged on your Xfinity bill.
