You can rent or purchase On Demand movies and shows directly from the Xfinity Stream portal or on the app for Android devices and Amazon Fire TVs. For Roku devices, you'll need Xfinity TV service.
Currently, you can’t rent or purchase On Demand content directly from the Stream app on Samsung TVs, LG Smart TVs, or Apple devices and TVs. However, you can watch your rented or purchased content on those devices.
Rent or purchase content using Xfinity Stream
- Go to xfinity.com/stream or open the Stream app, then sign in with your Xfinity ID and password.
- From the Main Menu, select Browse, then Movies or TV. You can also search for specific content.
- Select the movie or TV episode you wish to rent or purchase, then select Rent/Buy.
- Choose to Rent or Buy in either SD (standard definition) or HD (high definition).
- Confirm your order and enter your Purchase PIN if prompted
- Note: If you haven't set up a Purchase PIN yet for the Xfinity Stream app, but have a PIN set for your X1 TV Box, you'll need to enter the PIN from your TV Box to make purchases on Stream until you update your PIN for the Stream app.
