Manage Cloud-Based DVR Recordings with the Xfinity Stream Portal

Learn how to change and cancel your scheduled cloud-based DVR recordings using the Xfinity Stream portal.

Changing Recording Options for a Scheduled Recording

To change the recording options for a scheduled recording:

  1. Go to the Xfinity Stream portal.
  2. In the menu bar, click Saved > Scheduled.
  3. On the Scheduled page, click the recording you want to change.

  4. In the recording details, click Record Options.

  5. In the pop-up box, click Modify Recording.

The recording options are different for a TV series and for a movie or single-episode TV show (for example, a special event).

Recording Options for a TV Series

  1. When you choose to change a TV series, you'll see the Modify Recording Options pop-up box.
    • Click Just This Episode to change the options only for this episode.
    • Click Series Recording to change the options for all future episodes in this series.

  2. If you click Just This Episode, you'll see recording options for just the current episode.
    • Save: Save the recording until space is needed or save for one year.
    • Start: Start recording on time or one or two minutes early.
    • Stop: Stop your recording on time or three, five or thirty minutes late.

  3. If you click Series Recording, you'll see recording options for all episodes in the series.
    • Record: Record only new episodes or record new and repeat episodes.
    • Channels: Set your HD or SD channel preference.
    • Save: Save each recorded episode until space is needed or save for one year.
    • Keep: Keep all recorded episodes or keep between one and five episodes.
    • Start: Start recording on time or start one or two minutes early.
    • Stop: Stop recording on time or stop three, five, or thirty minutes late.
    • When to Record: Record only episodes that are broadcast in the timeslot for the current episode or record episodes no matter what time they're on.

  4. When you're finished, click Update. You'll see a message that your recording has been updated.
  5. Click Dismiss to close the message.


Recording Options for a Movie or Single-Episode TV Show

  1. When you choose to change a single program, you'll see the Modify Movie Recording (or Modify Episode Recording) pop-up box.
    • Save: Save the program until space is needed or save for one year.
    • Start: Start recording on time or start one or two minutes early.
    • Stop: Stop recording on time or stop three, five or thirty minutes late.

  2. When you're finished, click Update. You'll see a message confirming your recording has been updated.
  3. Click Dismiss to close the message.

Canceling a Recording

Here's how to cancel a scheduled recording.

  1. Go to the Xfinity Stream portal.
  2. In the menu bar, click Saved > Scheduled.
  3. On the Scheduled page, click the recording you want to cancel.

  4. In the recording details, click Record Options.

  5. In the pop-up box, click Cancel Recording.

  6. If you're canceling a movie or single-episode TV show, you'll see the confirmation pop-up box. Continue with step 8.
  7. If you're canceling a TV series, you'll see the Cancel Recording pop-up box.
    • Click Just This Episode to cancel only the selected episode.
    • Click Series Recording to cancel this and all future episodes in this series.

  8. In the confirmation pop-up box, click Confirm.

  9. You'll see a message that your recording has been canceled.
  10. Click Dismiss to close the message.
