What is a Cloud DVR?
With Cloud DVR and Xfinity Instant TV, you can record TV shows and movies so that you can watch your favorite programs anywhere using a computer or mobile device. All you need is an active Internet connection and access to the Xfinity Stream portal (www.xfinity.com/stream) on your computer or the Xfinity Stream app on your Apple or Android mobile device. Plus, you can download recordings to your mobile device to take with you and watch anytime, even when you're offline.
Cloud DVR Features
With Cloud DVR and Xfinity Instant TV, you can record up to two programs at once and store 20 hours of recordings.
The Xfinity Instant TV service allows for recording of all your shows in the cloud. You can access these recordings if you've saved in the cloud from anywhere you have an active Internet connection.
Note: Using a mobile wireless network may incur data charges; check your wireless provider's rate plan for details.
From the Xfinity Stream portal (www.xfinity.com/stream) or Xfinity Stream app, you can:
- Stream completed DVR recordings on up to two devices simultaneously with Xfinity Instant TV.
- Watch in-progress DVR recordings while connected to your in-home Xfinity WiFi network.

Create Cloud DVR Recordings
- Navigate to the Xfinity Stream portal (www.xfinity.com/stream) or the Xfinity Stream app and click on the Live TV tab to see a list of live channels.
- Select the program you’d like to record and click the Record button.
- You can either schedule a recording for a single episode or the entire series. Select the desired option.
- Your recording will be scheduled and available to watch after the episode has ended.
