Add or change your chosen name and pronouns to your Xfinity accounts

Your chosen name can only contain alphabetical characters (A-Z or a-z) and the following special characters: apostrophe, hyphen, and period. Xfinity reserves the right to reject or remove any chosen name that is vulgar, inappropriate, obscene, profane, discriminatory, or that intends to misrepresent the customer’s identity in a potentially harmful way. For example, by indicating falsely that a person is associated with law enforcement or another government entity.

You can change your name to display as your preferred chosen name and/or pronouns in the Xfinity app or on xfinity.com by following the steps below. Entering a chosen name and/or pronouns is optional. If you don’t want to provide one, we’ll continue to use your legal name.

Change your chosen name or pronouns in the Xfinity app

1. Tap the Account tab in the bottom right of your screen.
2. Tap Account settings.
3. Click Xfinity ID and Security.

Change your chosen name

1. Tap Edit name under your name as it currently appears.
   
2. Enter your chosen name in the First, Middle (optional), and Last name fields.
   • If you’re adding a chosen first name to your account, you’ll also need to add a chosen last name.
     
3. Tap Save to complete the changes.

Change your chosen pronouns

1. Tap Add pronouns under your name as it currently appears.
   
2. Start entering your pronouns in the Search pronouns box and choose from the available list.
   • If you don’t want to provide pronouns, you can choose I do not wish to answer.
   • If you don’t find the pronouns you’re looking for in the list, you can choose My pronoun is not listed.
3. Review your chosen pronouns and tap Save to complete the changes. 
4. Your pronouns will now appear next to your name.

1. Click the person icon in the top-right of your screen to get to your account. 
2. Click Account and identity.
3. Click Xfinity ID and Security.

   • If you don’t find the pronouns you’re looking for in the list, you can choose My pronoun is not listed.
3. Review your chosen pronouns and tap Save to complete the changes.
   
4. Your pronouns will now appear next to your name.
