FAQs

How will I be notified of my early upgrade's status?
You'll receive emails when:

  • The new device ships.
  • The new device is on its way.
  • Your old device is received.
    • If your device is deemed ineligible due to it being damaged or having the wrong IMEI, see the Devices section of the FAQs for more information.
  • You need to turn off “Find My” device feature on your old phone.

How do I track my order?

You can log into your account online or use the Xfinity app. For more details see, How do I track the status of my upgrade or trade-in with Xfinity Mobile?

How do I reprint my shipping label?

  1. Log in to your Xfinity Mobile account online and select the Devices tab.
  2. Select the device that’s being upgraded to see the shipment status and next steps.
Screenshot of the Devices tab, showing early upgrade options for a selected device. On the left side of the screen is a series of steps that show shipment status, and on the right are device details for the upgraded device. Underneath is a What's Next header with a list of preparations to make for the upgrade, and a header for Mail us your iPhone 12. In this header, there are details about mailing in the old device and a button option for Print return label.
    • From here you can select Print return label.
Screenshot of the Mail us your device section. There's a message under the header that reads, Now that your upgrade is prepped, it's time to send it in. Print your return label, package everything securely, then drop it off at USPS. The first instruction in this section reads, Print your return label and underneath is a blue button option for Print return label. Under the option is a message that reads, Print a mailing label for your old phone. If you don't have a printer, package your item securely, bring it to USPS, and show the return code from the Xfinity Mobile app.

Devices

Which devices can be upgraded?
All devices, including phones, smart watches and tablets, purchased through Xfinity Mobile with a device payment plan (DPP) are eligible to be upgraded once the DPP is at least 50% paid off. Visit Can I upgrade my device early for full eligibility requirements. If you have Xfinity Mobile’s Mobile Plus Premium Unlimited service, you can upgrade anytime.

What happens if my old device is ineligible or rejected?
It is very important that you make sure your old device is in good working order. It cannot be broken or damaged. Make sure the device you return is the device that you choose to upgrade. If your device doesn’t meet the requirements, the device is returned to you. You will keep the new device, and the full price without any discounts or credits will be charged to you. Any promotional offers for the new device are removed.

If the old device wasn’t fully paid off yet, that balance also returns to your bill, and you'll be responsible for paying the remaining balance.

If your old device ineligible, you can opt to return the new device, as long as you return it to us within the 14 days. After this time, it is no longer returnable. If your device is returned due to the wrong IMEI (meaning you sent in a different device that didn’t match the device you said you were upgrading), you'll need to contact Xfinity for further support.

I'm enrolled in Apple's upgrade program. If I buy my new device through Apple, will it work with Xfinity Mobile?
Devices purchased through Apple can be added to a new or existing line with Xfinity Mobile.

If you choose to buy your device directly from Apple be sure to select the Buy without a carrier option during the order process. When you get your device, bring it to an Xfinity Retail Store or chat with us.

If you already have an Xfinity Mobile pSIM card or purchased an eSIM-compatible device:

  1. Log in to your account using the Primary or Manager’s Xfinity ID.
  2. Visit the Devices page to set up your new device on an existing Xfinity Mobile line of service.
