Learn how to use the Xfinity Home app to pair and install a GE plug-in Lamp Module with your Xfinity Home system.
What you'll need:
- Xfinity Home
- Access to the Xfinity Home app
- A GE plug-in Lamp Module:
- Wireless Smart Dimmer (45852)
- Wireless Smart Switch (45853)
Pair the plug-in Lamp Module
- Sign in to the Xfinity Home app.
- Tap the More icon, then tap Add a Device.
- On the Add a Device screen, tap GE Lamp Module.
- Did you know? You can also use the Xfinity Home app to connect Works with Xfinity devices.
- The Device Pairing screen is the beginning of a setup wizard that walks you through the step-by-step process of installing and pairing your Lamp Module. Tap Continue.
- Plug the Lamp Module into an electrical outlet.
- Plug directly into outlet. Do not use with extension cords.
- Select the box to confirm the Lamp Module is plugged in, then tap Continue.
- When the light in the center of the Lamp Module starts to blink, it is ready for pairing. Tap Continue.
- Wait for the system to find your Lamp Module, which can take up to three minutes.
- Having problems? If your lamp module won't pair, see the troubleshooting information.
- When your Lamp Module is found, pairing is complete. Tap Continue.
- Enter a name that identifies the Lamp Module's location, such as "Living Room," then tap Next.
- Tap Finish Set-up.
Congratulations! You have successfully paired and installed your Lamp Module.
