Pair a GE Light Switch with the Xfinity Home app

Learn how to use the Xfinity Home app to pair and install a GE Light Switch with your Xfinity Home system.

What you'll need

• Xfinity Home
• Access to the Xfinity Home app
• A GE Light Switch installed according to manufacturer's instructions:
  • In-Wall Wireless Smart Dimmer (45857)
  • In-Wall Wireless Smart Switch (Relay Switch) (45856)

Pair the light switch

1. Sign in to the Xfinity Home app.
2. Tap the More icon, then tap Add a Device.
   
3. On the Add a Device screen, tap GE In-Wall Switch.
   
   
   Did You Know? You can also use the Xfinity Home app to connect Works with Xfinity devices.
4. The Device Pairing screen is the beginning of a setup wizard that walks you through the step-by-step process of installing and pairing your Light Switch. Tap Continue.
   
5. Select the box to confirm the Light Switch is installed and working, then tap Continue.
   
6. When the light at the bottom edge of the Light Switch starts to blink, it is ready for pairing. Tap Continue.
   
7. Wait for the system to find your Light Switch, which can take up to three minutes.

8. When your Light Switch is found, pairing is complete. Tap Continue.
   
9. Enter a name that identifies the Light Switch's location, such as "Living Room," then tap Next.
   
10. Tap Finish Set-up.
