Manage your Xfinity Home keypad codes from the touchscreen

Learn how to change your Master Keypad Code and add, change and delete Secondary Keypad Codes using the touchscreen.

What you'll need

  • Xfinity Home
  • Access to your touchscreen
  • Your Master Keypad Code

Accessing keypad codes

  1. What does your touchscreen look like?
    • If your Home screen looks like the one below, tap the gear icon, then tap Security and continue to step 2.

    • If not, tap the Settings icon and continue to step 2.
  2. Enter your Master Keypad Code.
  3. On the Categories screen, tap Security.

  4. On the Security screen, tap Manage Keypad Codes.

Adding a secondary keypad code

  1. Follow the instructions to access the Manage Keypad Codes screen.
  2. Tap Add Keycode at the upper right.

  3. Enter the desired Name and 4-Digit code. Select the access level and the days of the week that you want the code to be active on.

  4. Tap Save. That's it! You created a new Secondary Keypad Code.

Help prevent false alarms: Make sure your Secondary Keypad Code users know what access level they have, what they can and can't do in the system, and on which days the code is active.

Changing a keypad code

  1. Follow the instructions to access the Manage Keypad Codes screen.
  2. Tap Edit next to the code you want to change.

  3. On the Edit Keypad Code screen, make your changes.

    • If you want to change the access level (Standard, Guest, Arm Only) for a Secondary Keypad Code, you'll need to delete the code and create a new one with the access level that you want.
    • You cannot change the Active Days for the Master Keypad Code, which is always active.
  4. Click Save.

Deleting a secondary keypad code

  1. Follow the instructions to access the Manage Keypad Codes screen.
  2. Tap Edit next to the code you want to delete.

  3. On the Edit Keypad Code screen, tap Delete User at the bottom left.

  4. Tap Yes to permanently delete this Secondary Keypad Code.
