Rename a light switch or lighting controller from the Xfinity Home touchscreen

Learn how to use your Xfinity Home touchscreen to rename a Light Switch or Lighting/Appliance/Outlet Controller in your Xfinity Home system.

• Xfinity Home
• Access to your touchscreen
• Your Master Keypad Code

Renaming a light switch or lighting/appliance/outlet controller

1. On your Home screen:
   • Swipe up to open the dashboard (if applicable), tap the gear icon, then tap Devices.
   • Or, if your touchscreen has apps, tap Settings.
2. Enter your Master Keypad Code.
3. On the Categories screen, tap Home Devices.
   
4. On the Home Devices screen, tap Lighting.
   
5. On the Lighting screen, tap Edit Lights.
   
6. Tap the Light you want to rename.
   
7. Tap the Light Name field to open the alphanumeric keyboard.
   
8. Enter the new name, and then tap Done.
   

Congratulations! You've successfully renamed your light.
