Set up or turn off automatic payments on your Xfinity account

You can set up automatic monthly payments online using your checking account, savings account, or credit/debit card.

When you enroll:

  • Your current balance (bill amount minus any credits or recent payments) will be charged to your payment method on file.
  • Payments are processed on your bill due date.
  • If your card is about to expire, we’ll email you one month before the expiration date so you can update your payment information.

Note: These instructions do not apply to Xfinity Mobile automatic payments. To manage mobile payments, sign in to your Xfinity Mobile account.

Set up automatic payments online

Follow these steps to enroll in automatic payments:

  1. Sign in to xfinity.com.
    • Only Primary or Manager users can view bill details.
  2. Click Billing & Pay, then select Manage Auto Pay.

    • If you have Xfinity Mobile, you need to click View Bill & Transaction History, then select Bill Details in the Mobile Billing card.
  3. Select a saved payment method or add a new one.
    • If adding a new method, confirm your identity by entering the six-digit code sent to your trusted contact method.
  4. Check the box next to I agree to the Automatic Payments Terms & Conditions.
  5. Enter payment details.
    • Bank account: Connect securely using Plaid to verify your account.
    • Credit/Debit card: Enter your card details and the Security Code (three-digits on the back; four digits on the front for American Express).
  6. Click Set Up.
  7. You'll see a confirmation message at the top of the page and receive an email confirmation.

Check if you're enrolled in automatic payments

You can easily confirm your Automatic Payment status on the Billing page in your Xfinity account. Here’s what you’ll see:

  • Upcoming and pending payments
  • Scheduled payment date
  • Amount to be charged
  • Payment method on file

Note: Payment processing can take up to three business days.

Turn off automatic payments

If you’ve already set up automatic payments and want to turn it off, follow these steps:

Note: You can’t turn off automatic payments on the day a payment is processing.

  1. Sign in to xfinity.com.
    • Only Primary or Manager users can turn off automatic payments.
  2. Click Billing & Pay, then select Manage Auto Pay.
  3. Click Turn Off.

  4. When prompted, click Turn off to confirm.

  5. You’ll receive an email confirmation that automatic payments have been turned off.
Note: You must use autopay for Xfinity Mobile bills. You can change the card or account used to pay, but you can't turn autopay off.

Manage automatic payments in the Xfinity app

You can update or turn off Automatic Payments directly from the Xfinity app. Here’s how:

  1. Sign in to the Xfinity app.
    • Only Primary or Manager users can manage automatic payments.
  2. Tap Manage Billing.

  3. Under Total balance, select Bill settings.
  4. Tap the Autopay box (it shows On if enabled).

  5. Tap Manage Autopay.

  6. From this screen, you can Turn Off automatic payments or Update Payment Method.

 To update your payment preferences:

  1. Tap Update Payment Method.
  2. Choose an existing payment method or add a new one.
  3. Enter your payment details and agree to the Automatic Payments Terms & Conditions, then tap Set up.
    • If adding a New bank account or New credit/debit card, confirm your identity by entering the six-digit code sent to your trusted contact method.

  4. You'll receive a confirmation message.

To turn off automatic payments:

  1. Tap Turn Off.

  2. When prompted, tap Turn Off to confirm.

Manage automatic payments in the Xfinity app for Xfinity Mobile

To manage your automatic payment settings from the Xfinity app, follow these instructions.

  1. Sign in to the app using your Primary or Manager’s Xfinity ID, which will open on the Overview tab.
  2. Tap Xfinity Mobile billing.
  3. Tap the Autopay method.
    • Note: You may be prompted to sign in to your account.
  4. From this screen you can modify your payment method.

Manage automatic payments online for Xfinity Mobile

To manage your automatic payment settings from your online account, follow these instructions.

  1. Sign in to your account online using your Primary or Manager’s Xfinity ID.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Tap Update card.
    • Note: You may be prompted to sign in to your account.
  4. From this screen you can modify your payment method.
