Xfinity can help you get or reset your password in two ways:
- Use a verified and eligible personal email (not your Xfinity email address [comcast.net]).
- Use a verified and eligible mobile number on your Xfinity account.
If you do not have one of these, you may see a message when you sign in.
You may also see this message if:
- Your personal email address hasn't been verified in the past year.
- Your mobile number hasn't been verified in the past six months.

Choose one of the methods below:
Personal (non-Xfinity) email
- Select Add an email address.
- Enter your personal mobile number.
- You will get a text message with a code to verify it.
- This helps reset your password in the future.
- Enter the code into the window that pops up within 15 minutes.
- If the code expires, you will need to enter your email again to get a new code.
- Note: You cannot use your Xfinity email address (a comcast.net email) to reset or change your password. You must use a personal email address (like gmail.com, yahoo.com, hotmail.com, etc.). If you do not have one, use your mobile number instead.
