Learn how to record live TV to your cloud-based DVR on the Xfinity Stream app for your Apple or Android device. We'll show you how to set up recordings using the Apple version of the mobile app. The procedures are essentially the same for the Android mobile app, but the steps or screens may be slightly different.
Note: Cloud-based DVR service may not be available in all market areas.

- X1 or other Xfinity TV package with cloud-based DVR service
- Access to the Xfinity Stream app
- An active Internet connection

Recording live TV
Let's get you started recording live TV programs.
- Swipe left to right to open the main menu.
- Under Live TV, tap the type of TV listings you want to see:
- All Channels
- Favorite Channels
- TV Go Channels
- In the listings, tap the program you want to record.
- In the program details, tap Record.
When you choose to record a TV series, you'll see further options.
- In the Record Options pop-up box:
- Tap Just This Episode to record only the episode you selected. Recording Scheduled displays in the program details and recording starts.
- Tap Series Recording to record the episode you selected and all future episodes in this series.
- In the Set Series Recording pop-up box, select your preferred recording options.
- Record: Record only new episodes or record new and repeat episodes.
- Channels: Set your HD or SD channel preference.
- Save: Save each recorded episode until space is needed or save for one year.
- Keep: Keep all recorded episodes or keep between one and five episodes.
- Start: Start recording on time or start one or two minutes early.
- Stop: Stop recording on time or stop one, three or five minutes late.
- Tap Confirm. Recording Scheduled displays in the program details and the recording of the current episode starts.
Did You Know? You can change or cancel a scheduled recording at any time before recording is complete.
