Control Your Lights from your Xfinity Home Touchscreen

Learn how to use your Xfinity Home touchscreen to control your Light Switches and Lighting/Appliance/Outlet Controllers.

Did You Know? You can use rules to automatically turn lights on and off using the Xfinity Home app.

  • Access to your Xfinity Home touchscreen
  • A compatible light installed and connected to your system

Controlling Your Lights and Appliances

  1. On the Home screen, tap the Dashboard icon (four squares) at the upper left.

  2. On the Dashboard screen, tap Lights.

  3. The Lights screen shows the status of all of the Light Switches and Lighting/Appliance/Outlet Controllers in your system. The light bulb icon represents all of these device types.
    Adjust the lighting levels in the Lights screen.
  4. Turn individual lights or appliances on and off by tapping the light bulb icon for the device.
  5. Tap All On to turn on all of your connected lights and appliances, or tap All Off to turn them all off.
  6. To adjust the brightness of a dimmable light, slide the dimmer control to the right to turn the brightness up or to the left to turn it down. Once set, this is the default brightness level for the light.
Did You Know? Only a light connected to an Xfinity Home Lighting/Appliance controller or dimmable Light Switch can be dimmed. Lights connected to an Outlet Controller or to a regular on/off Light Switch cannot be dimmed.
