Access, listen to, and download your voicemail — Xfinity Voice help

Whether you’re at home, traveling or just working late, you can get to your voicemail from just about anywhere. Listen to and manage your Xfinity Voice voicemail over the phone or online whenever you’re away from home. There’s no extra setup needed.

Access voicemail from any phone

From your home phone

  1. Dial *99 or your home phone number.
  2. Press # when your personal greeting starts.
  3. Enter your passcode when asked.

Mobile or landline (away from home)

  1. Dial your home phone number.
  2. Press # when your personal greeting starts.
  3. Enter your passcode when asked.

Access voicemail online

Listen to and manage your voicemail from any device with internet access. This includes a computer, mobile phone, or tablet.

Get started

  1. Sign in to Xfinity Voice using your Xfinity ID and password.
    • You must be the Primary user or a Manager.
    • Managers, the Primary user must give you access to Voice Features before you can access voicemail online.
  2. Find the voice message you want to listen to.
  3. Click the Play button.

Download a voicemail when using your computer

  1. Sign in to Xfinity Voice using your Xfinity ID and password.
    • You must be the Primary user or a Manager.
    • Managers, the Primary user must give you access to Voice Features before you can access voicemail online.
  2. Click the Options icon to the right of the voicemail you want to download.
  3. Select Download Voicemail from the menu.
    • You’ll see the file download at the bottom of your screen.
    • You can access the file in your download folder. You can also choose to save it in another place.

Voicemail guidelines

Automatic playback

The automatic playback control manages if your voicemail automatically plays a new message once you dial into your voicemail system, or if you want to be asked by the system to listen to your messages.

To access this feature from a phone:

  1. Access your voicemail using the steps above.
  2. Press 4 for personal options from the main menu.
  3. Press 2 for administrative options.
  4. Press 1 for general options.
  5. Press 4 for message detail playback options.
  6. Press either 1 or 2:
    • Press 1 to turn on automatic playback of the date and time each message was received.
    • Press 2 to turn on automatic playback of the name of the person leaving the message.

To access this feature online:

  1. Sign in to Xfinity Voice Voicemail Settings using your Xfinity ID and password.
    • You must be the Primary user or a Manager.
    • Managers, the Primary user must give you access to Voice Features before you can access voicemail online.
  2. Select Checking Voicemail (if not already chosen).
  3. Set your Playback preferences using the on/off option.
    • Playback options include:
      • Automatically play my new messages when I dial into my voicemail.
      • Announce the date and time when playing voicemails.

Mark a message as "heard"

When viewing voicemails in the Xfinity Voice website:

  • The red dot to the left of a voicemail tells you the voicemail was "not heard."
    • Click the red dot to mark the voicemail as "heard."
  • A white dot to the left of the voicemail tells you the voicemail has already been listened to or "heard."
  • You can also use the Mark All Voicemails as Heard button on the left bar or click on the red dot located on the top-left of the voicemail list.
  • Marking voicemail as "heard" will also turn off the voicemail light on your home phone.

Voicemail limits

You’ll want to keep an eye on your voicemail’s limit. A full voicemail inbox will prevent you from getting more messages. Learn more about voicemail limits.
