Install and pair a Kwikset Lock using the touchscreen

Learn how to use your Xfinity Home touchscreen to pair a Kwikset Door Lock with your Xfinity Home system.

What you'll need

• Xfinity Home
• A Kwikset SmartCode 910, 912, 914 or 916 Lock
• Access to your touchscreen
• Your Master Keypad Code

Pairing a Door Lock

Did you know? You can pair more than one Lock at a time.

1. On your Home screen:
   • Swipe up to open the dashboard (if applicable), tap the gear icon, then tap Devices.
   • Or, if your touchscreen has apps, tap the Settings icon.
2. Enter your Master Keypad Code.
3. On the Categories screen, tap Home Devices.
   
4. On the Home Devices screen, tap Door Locks.
   
5. On the Door Locks screen, tap Add Door Lock.
   
6. Make sure that your Lock is ready for pairing. Instructions for preparing the Lock to be paired should be included in the installation instructions provided by its manufacturer.
7. When your Lock is ready for pairing, tap Next.
   
8. When pairing is successful, the Lock appears on the screen. This can take up to five minutes. When all of the Locks you're pairing appear on the screen, tap Done.

9. The system tells you how many Locks have been paired. Tap Next.
   
10. You'll see a list of the new Locks. Tap each Lock to configure it.
11. Enter a name for the Lock, such as "Front Door," and then tap Next.
    
12. When you're done configuring each Lock, tap Return to Menu.
