Learn how to use your Xfinity Home touchscreen to rename a lock in your Xfinity Home system.
What you'll need
- Xfinity Home
- Access to your touchscreen
- Your Master Keypad Code
Renaming a lock
- On your Home screen:
- Swipe up to open the dashboard (if applicable), tap the gear icon, then tap Devices.
- Or, if your touchscreen has apps, tap the Settings icon.
- Enter your Master Keypad Code.
- On the Categories screen, tap Home Devices.
- On the Home Devices screen, tap Door Locks.
- On the Door Locks screen, tap Edit Door Locks.
- Tap the Lock that you want to change.
- Tap the Door Lock Name field to open the keyboard.
- Enter the new name, and then tap Done.
Congratulations! You've successfully renamed your lock.
