Peacock app on Xfinity Flex, Xumo Stream Box, and Xfinity X1

The Peacock app is now available to everyone, whether you're a customer or not.

Peacock is the streaming service from NBCUniversal. It offers over 15,000 hours of content, with hundreds of television series and movies, as well as compelling live and On Demand content across news, sports, late night, and reality.

To access Peacock on X1, Xumo Stream Box, or Flex, you’ll need:

  • An eligible X1 TV Box (RNG150 and PaceXG1v1 models aren’t eligible), Xumo Stream Box, or Flex streaming TV Box.
  • Xfinity Internet (any level).
  • An email address for signing up.
  • Xfinity and non-Xfinity customers can use the Peacock app on an eligible third-party device. See which devices are compatible below.

Note: The steps in this article are for watching on X1, Xumo Stream Box, and Flex platforms only. Accessing Peacock on a third-party device or platform may result in different steps.

Get to the Peacock app on X1, Xumo Stream Box, and Flex

Say "Peacock" into your Voice Remote.

X1 and Flex

Access the Peacock app on X1 and Flex by:

  1. Pressing the Xfinity button on your Xfinity Voice Remote.
  2. Pressing the right arrow to go to the Apps menu.
  3. Pressing the arrow buttons to get to Peacock.

Xumo Stream Box

Access the Peacock app on Xumo Stream Box by:

  1. Navigating to the Apps row of your Home screen by pressing down on the directional pad of your XR100 Remote.

  2. Clicking Apps View all.

  3. Navigating to Peacock by using the directional pad on your XR100 Remote, then select it by pressing the center of the directional pad.
  4. Once Peacock is open, navigate the content and press the center of the directional pad on your XR100 remote to select the content to watch.

If you previously had a Peacock account, you can sign in to your existing profile and accept the offer or sign in. If you don’t have a Peacock account, you can sign up for a new account. Any Peacock login issues should be directed to Peacock Customer Support.

Sign up for Peacock

  1. To sign up for Peacock, you can choose Get Offer or Sign In.

  2. When you press OK (center of the directional pad) on your X1, Xumo Stream Box, or Flex remote, your email address on your Xfinity account will come up.
    • Select it by pressing OK, or press the down arrow and select Enter a different email to use a different one.

  3. This email will be used to log you in to Peacock. Press OK to confirm your email.

  4. If you selected Enter a different email, enter your email address.
    • After you create a password, choose Continue. You can also choose to Activate on Your Phone.

  5. Follow the prompts to enter your name, birth year, gender and ZIP code.

  6. Follow the prompts to choose the offer. If you chose to Sign In without choosing an offer, you’ll have limited access to Peacock content.

Sign up for Peacock with your previous profile settings

  1. To sign up for Peacock, you can choose Get Offer or Sign In.

  2. To start using Peacock, you’ll need to enter an email address and password you want associated with your Peacock account. Choose Continue. You can also choose to Activate on Your Phone.

  3. Follow the prompts to choose the offer. If you chose to Sign In without choosing an offer, you’ll have limited access to Peacock content.

Peacock app watching history

Once you’ve created your login for Peacock, you can share your Peacock watch history by going to Privacy > Third party app watch history > Peacock.

You'll be asked, "Do you want to share your Peacock watch history?"

  • Choosing Allow Peacock to share makes it easier to jump back into a movie or show you were watching right from X1, Xumo Stream Box, or Flex.
    • It also helps us give you recommendations for content based on your interests.
  • If you don’t want to share your watch history, choose Don’t allow Peacock to share.
  • You can change this setting later from Settings > Privacy > Third party app watch history.

Once you’ve created your login for Peacock, a Who’s watching? screen will appear. Select New Profile to create a profile.

Use the left or right arrow to select an avatar.

Avatars appear as a horizontally-scrolling list.

The following screen will appear. You can select Yes or No, or Skip.

Enter your profile name, then select Done.

You’ll be taken back to the Who’s watching? screen next. Choose a profile to begin watching.

Note: To delete a profile, or edit a profile’s avatar, select the pencil icon below the profile image.

Peacock app home screen

Once you’ve selected a profile to watch with, you’ll be taken to the Peacock home screen. On the top of the screen, you’ll see the Search, Channels, Browse, Movies, TV Shows, Sports, WWE, News and Latino options.

On your remote, press OK (center of the directional pad) on the magnifying glass icon to search for a show or movie you’d like to watch.

Go to Browse to see the new shows and movies available on the app.

The browse tab appears at the top of the Peacock app screen, to the left of the Channels tab.

Go to Channels to view a list of channels with what’s on now and what’s coming on next.

The Channels page displays a vertically-scrolling list of programs, with the currently-highlighted listing including a brief description, a rating, and timeslot of what is currently playing and what will come up next.

Season and episode guide in the Peacock app

Once you’ve chosen a show to watch, the show’s number of seasons will appear on the left-hand side, with the episodes in the season appearing on the right-hand side. Use the arrow buttons to go to an episode and press OK.

Programming on the Peacock app

The following is a sample of some of the programming available on the Peacock app:

  • TV shows: 30 Rock (Seasons 1-7), Cheers, Parks & Recreation (Seasons 1-7), Two and a Half Men, Monk (Seasons 1-8), Psych, Saturday Night Live (Seasons 1-48), Curious George, Betty en NY (Latino) and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Plus Peacock originals including Bel-Air, Poker Face and Below Deck Down Under.
  • Movies: Shrek, Jurassic Park, American Pie, Marry Me, John Wick, Jumanji and Trolls World Tour.
  • WWE: Past and live events including WrestleMania, series including Raw and WWE Smackdown.
  • Live Sports: Premier League, select MLB games, golf, motor sports and more.
