In this article, you will be shown how to choose a preset name (or create a custom name) to easily identify your TV Box using the Xfinity X1 On-Screen Guide.
Device name
To access Device Settings:
- Using the remote, press the xfinity button.
- Highlight Settings (the gear icon) and press OK.
- Highlight Device Settings and press OK.
- Use the down arrow button to highlight Device Name. Press OK.
- Choose a name from the from the drop-down list and press OK. (See the Create Custom Name section for details on creating a custom name.)
- Press Exit to finish.
Create custom name
To create a custom name for your TV Box:
- Choose Custom Name at the top of the list and press OK.
- Create your custom name using the interface on the Create a Custom Name screen.
- Highlight Confirm and press OK on your remote when finished.
