Lock access to content with Application Locks for X1

Application Locks allow you to lock specific apps on Xfinity X1. 

When an app is locked, you'll need to enter your four-digit Parental Control PIN before you can open it.

For information on how to set up a Locks PIN, see Setting up an X1 Locks PIN and turning Parental Controls on/off.

Enable Application Locks

1. Press the Xfinity button on your remote control.
2. Highlight and select the Settings (gear icon) on the right. 
   
   
   
3. Use the down arrow to highlight Parental Controls and select it.
   
   
   
4. If you've already set up a Parental Control PIN, you'll be prompted to enter it here. If not, you can set it up here or skip this for later.
   
   
   
5. On the following screen, navigate to Application Locks.
   
   
   
6. Highlight the application you want to lock.
7. Press the OK button to toggle the lock on or off for that app.
   
   
   
8. Repeat for any other apps you want to lock/unlock.
9. Press Exit to go back to standard TV viewing, or press Last to go back to the Settings menu.
