Note: The Power Saver feature will not work while streaming music through the Pandora app.
To access Device Settings:
- Press the xfinity button on the remote.
- Highlight Settings (gear icon) and press OK.
- Note: If your remote doesn't have an OK button, press the raised button in the center of the directional pad.

- Use the down arrow on the remote to highlight Device Settings and press OK.
- Use the down arrow to highlight Power Preferences and press OK.
- Use the down arrow to select Power Saver.
- Press OK to turn the feature On or Off.
- Note: New X1 TV Box installations default the Power Saver feature to On.
- Press Exit to finish.
- When Power Saver is On, you'll see an "Are You Still There?" message.
Your X1 TV Box will power down when it's not in use. You can bring it back to Full Power by pressing any button on your remote control.
HDMI Device Control (HDMI-CEC)
Xi6 Wireless TV Boxes (X1 and Flex), Pace Xi5 TV Boxes (X1 and Flex), Pace XiD TV Boxes (X1) and XG1v4 DVR TV Boxes (X1) connected to your TV via HDMI cable are capable of the HDMI Device Control (HDMI-CEC) feature.
The HDMI-CEC feature:
- Places your TV Box in Standby mode when your TV is turned off.
- Automatically wakes up your TV Box when the TV is turned on.
Press the xfinity button on your remote to automatically switch the TV to your X1 TV Box input, so you don’t have to manually change TV inputs. This will only work if HDMI-CEC is enabled on your TV Box and TV.
Note: The HDMI-CEC setting may have a different name depending on your TV manufacturer. Refer to your owner’s manual or search online for how to enable CEC on your TV.
This feature is turned on by default on your Xfinity TV Box. You can turn it off by going to Settings > Device Settings > Power Preferences > HDMI Device Control (HDMI-CEC) > Off or On.
