Changing Your Cloud-Based DVR Recording Options with the Xfinity Stream App

Learn how to change your scheduled cloud-based DVR recordings using the Xfinity Stream app on your Apple or Android device.

We'll show you how to manage your scheduled recordings using the Apple version of the mobile app. The procedures are essentially the same for the Android mobile app, but the steps or screens may be slightly different.

What You'll Need

• X1 or other Xfinity TV package with cloud-based DVR service
• Access to the Xfinity Stream app
• An active Internet connection

Change Recording Options for a Scheduled Recording

1. Swipe left to right to open the main navigation (or tap the menu button in the top-left corner).
2. Tap Scheduled.
   
   
   
3. On the Scheduled screen, tap the recording you want to change.
   
   
   
   
   
4. Tap Record Options.
5. In the pop-up box, tap Modify Recording.
   
   
   

Change Recording Options for a TV Series

1. When you choose to change a TV series, you'll see the Modify Recording pop-up box.
   • Tap Just This Episode to change the options only for this episode.
   • Tap Series Recording to change the options for all future episodes in this series.
     
     
     
2. If you tap Just This Episode, you'll see recording options for just the current episode.
   
   
   
   • Save: Save the recording until space is needed or for one year.
   • Start: Start recording on time or start one or two minutes early.
   • Stop: Stop recording: on time or stop two, three, five or thirty minutes late.
3. If you tap Series Recording, you'll see recording options for all episodes in the series.
   
   
   
   • Record: Record only new episodes or record new and repeat episodes.
   • Channels: Set your HD or SD channel preference.
   • Save: Save each recorded episode until space is needed or for one year.
   • Keep: Keep all recorded episodes or keep between one and five episodes.
   • Start: Start recording on time or start one or two minutes early.
   • Stop: Stop recording on time or stop two, three, five or thirty minutes late.
   • When to Record: Record only episodes that are broadcast in the timeslot for the current episode or record episodes no matter what time they're on.
4. When you're finished, tap Update.

Recording Options for a Movie or Single-Episode TV Show

When you choose to change a single program, you'll see the Modify Episode Recording pop-up box.

• Save: Save each recorded episode until space is needed or save for one year.
• Start: Start recording on time or start one or two minutes early.
• Stop: Stop recording on time or stop two, three, five or thirty minutes late.
