Use the Xfinity Web Remote to X1 and Flex Boxes from Xfinity without speaking. This web-based remote lets customers with no audible voice use the Voice Remote feature for easier navigation and more independence.
The Xfinity Web Remote works in any browser on a computer, tablet, or smartphone. Just select the microphone icon and type your voice commands.
The Xfinity Web Remote works with screen readers, eye-tracking software, and sip-and-puff (SnP) devices. You can also use it as an internet-connected remote anytime you want.
Note: This remote doesn’t work with Xumo Stream Box from Xfinity.
Control your TV from your web browser
Go to remote.xfinity.com to use the Xfinity Web Remote. To get started, pair it with the TV you want to use it with.
Pair the Xfinity Web Remote using your Xfinity ID and password
- Go to remote.xfinity.com.
- Choose Log in.

- Enter your Xfinity ID and password on the login screen, then click Sign In.
- If you're already signed in, skip to the next step.
- On the Choose which TV Box to control screen, click the name of the TV Box you want to use.

- Note: If you only have one TV Box set up, you’ll go straight to the Xfinity Web Remote screen after signing in.
- After you sign in, the Xfinity Web Remote will open in your browser window.

- Use your touchscreen, mouse, eye tracking device, voice control software, switch control device, or keyboard to browse the remote layout and control your X1 TV Box.
Pair with easy pair
- Press and hold the microphone button on your X1 or Flex remote and say “Easy Pair” or press the Xfinity button and use the arrow keys to select Apps.
- Look for Easy Pair in the Xfinity row.

- On your computer or smartphone, go to remote.xfinity.com.
- Choose Easy Pair.

- On your computer, a seven-digit code will pop up.

- Use the numeric keypad on your handheld X1 or Flex remote to enter the code on your TV screen. Then, press OK.

- TheXfinity Web Remote will show on your computer after a moment.
- Use your touchscreen, mouse, eye tracking device, voice control software, switch control device, or keyboard to browse the remote layout and control your X1 or Flex TV Box.
Tips for using the Xfinity Web Remote
- If you have a speech disability, you can use voice commands.
- Type commands like "Accessibility," "Watch NBC," "Movies about baseball," or "What song is playing in the text box on the lower left." Then press Enter or click Go.
- Learn what other voice commands you can type.
- Pinch to zoom on most smartphones and tablets.
- Press CTRL and + to zoom in and CTRL - to zoom out on a PC.
- On Macs, press CMD + or CMD - to zoom in and out.
Known limitations
TV functions (power, volume, mute, TV input) are not available.
