Set the background darkness level on your X1 on-screen guide

X1: Managing the background darkness

To access Preferences:

  1. Press the xfinity button on the remote control.
  2. Highlight Settings (the gear icon) and press OK.

    The settings icon is highlighted along the far right of the bottom of the screen.

  3. Highlight Preferences and press OK.
    The first option Preferences is highlighted.
  4. Highlight General and press OK.
    General is highlighted, the first option on the Preferences page.
  5. Using the right arrow button, highlight Background Darkness Level and press OK.

  6. Using the right arrow or left arrow buttons on your remote, choose the darkness you prefer and press OK (this choice will return you to the General screen)
    Darkness level is displayed as 7 with left and right arrows available to increase or decrease the darkness level
  7. Press the Exit button on remote to finish.


X1: Changing the background image

The background image feature for X1 is no longer supported.
